Uta writes: "Since the competition was so enormous, we had to run and run and run to wait for the judges final decision. It was hot, but I kept running. It was worth it, I am happy, could not have expected anything more. Prior to this show the International Hovawart federation, IHF, had a conference which included a festive elegant buffet with champagne and a welcome through a local politician. We (an international assembly of Hovawart breeding clubs and their representatives,) worked hard on breeding issues, exchanging insights and data about genetic disease. We have several scientists in the breeding commission. We have very strict rules. AHNA is granted one more year in the prestigious International Hovawart Federation, to find time to come to terms with an acceptable breeding regulation for the merger of the two clubs in America."

Missy writes: "At the Washington State Fair, Cody got a Champion in Advanced Novice, a Champion in Brace Obedience, and a Champion in obedience Teams! In teams the score is out of 800, (200 from each dog) and we got 792 points! Cody only missed 1 point!" She also decided to try both her dogs for their CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title, on a whim, and they both earned it without a problem.
